About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join New Zealand Customs Service as a Cloud Engineering Technical Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to our cloud engineering team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the delivery of key business initiatives and ensure alignment with IS strategies and product roadmaps.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, with experience in establishing cloud practices across an organization. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring team members, leading the adoption and improvement of cloud engineering practices, and driving the delivery of key business milestones.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong experience (3-5 years) as a Senior Cloud Engineer or Technical Lead with a passion for cloud technologies.
  • Proven experience in establishing cloud engineering practices across levels of an organization.
  • A deep understanding and proven experience applying cloud frameworks and methodologies, specifically Azure cloud services.
