As a Consultant Psychiatrist within the Adult General Service, you will play a critical role in achieving these goals by providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health issues. Your expertise will help us develop and refine our client-centered frameworks, ensuring that our services meet the unique needs of each patient.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in adult mental health, including experience in inpatient, outpatient, alcohol and drug services, and rehabilitation. You will be responsible for delivering innovative acute and long-term care that meets individual needs, while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to gain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Strong background in adult mental health, including experience in inpatient, outpatient, alcohol and drug services, and rehabilitation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
