About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Advanced Materials Scientist to join our research team at the Agency For Science, Technology And Research. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced silicon-based materials and devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop epitaxial processes for high-quality SiGe and Ge layers on Si substrates.
- Improve existing processes for SiGe and Ge epitaxy, focusing on uniformity, thickness, and defect reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Ge/SiGe devices into Silicon photonic circuits.
- Perform metrology and characterization of SiGe and Ge epilayers to ensure high-quality material properties.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues with tool and process quality to optimize overall performance.
Requirements
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in SiGe/Ge epitaxy and materials characterization.
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Knowledge of epitaxial system hardware and basic process characterization techniques (SEM/TEM, EDX, SIMS, AFM, Ellipsometry).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
