**Health Equity and Partnerships Expert Role**

As a Health Equity and Partnerships Expert, you will play a critical role in advancing Māori health outcomes through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Māori communities and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on health equity and partnerships, including Māori health policy development and implementation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that Māori health priorities are embedded across the Ministry and health sector.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent stakeholder, iwi, and Māori community engagement experience.
  • Ability to operate in te ao Māori contexts, including understanding of tikanga, kawa and te reo Māori.
  • Knowledge and experience in Māori Crown relations, Treaty settlement relationships, Māori health or a relevant field.
