Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Transpower New Zealand Full time

**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Network Infrastructure Manager. This role involves managing grid access, enhancing safety, and supporting infrastructure projects across Aotearoa.

As a key member of our Operations Division, you will run the wholesale electricity market and operate the power system to enable New Zealand homes and businesses to access electricity every second of every day.

The National Grid Operations Centre manages the operation of Transpower's grid assets, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electricity to New Zealand. Your responsibilities will include coordinating grid outages, identifying and mitigating risks on the grid, and restoring electricity supply as quickly and safely as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, where you will design and prepare outage documentation, influence project plans, and maintain operational databases. You will also improve processes and safety protocols, working closely with distribution companies, service providers, engineers, and project managers to support the commissioning and decommissioning of assets.

We value problem-solvers who can piece together complex information to understand availability, timeframes, and key requirements. If you're a curious, methodical, and technically-minded individual looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect fit for you.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a field such as power systems, engineering, or a related field. Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as experience establishing and maintaining relationships and collaborating effectively.

We prioritize employee wellbeing and offer a range of health and wellness benefits. Our flexible work arrangement allows staff to balance work and personal commitments, with adaptable daily start and finish times. We welcome diverse perspectives and knowledge from people of all nationalities.

If you're passionate about critical infrastructure and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
