Our team of geriatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals is dedicated to providing high-quality care to older adults. We pride ourselves on our close liaison with community services, comprehensive discharge planning, and emphasis on promoting wellness, independence, and participation.
The Responsibilities
As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and support to our inpatient, outpatient, and community services
- Developing a vision for the future of our Older Persons Health Service
- Working effectively as a leader within an interdisciplinary team
- Providing high-quality patient care and meeting the needs of our patients
About You
To be successful in this role, you must currently hold Vocational/Specialist Registration in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You will also need to be passionate about working with older adults and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Salary and Benefits
This role belongs to the ASMS Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro rata). As a valued member of our team, you will also receive a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
