Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Inventory Management Professional to join our team at Tait Communications in Christchurch. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will work closely with our logistics team to receive, store, and supply materials to production areas, while maintaining accurate records of stock movement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and processing incoming shipments
  • Verifying stock quantities and identifying discrepancies
  • Managing stock levels and performing cycle counts
  • Issuing stock to production areas and meeting daily schedules
  • Picking and delivering sales orders, requisitions, and internal mail
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock movement using PC applications
  • Completing material issues and receiving stock for sub-contracting purchase orders
  • Performing general store maintenance and following 5S principles
  • Driving an electric forklift (training and certification provided)

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related field. You will also bring:

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Competency with PC applications in relation to inventory management and stock control
  • Database and email experience
  • An understanding of the procedures for material returns and parcel deliveries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to learn and develop self
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to plan your own workload
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
