Job Summary

The Agency For Science, Technology And Research is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of its IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, with experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, switches, firewalls, servers, workstations, storage devices, and High Performance Computing clusters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT infrastructure, including networks, switches, firewalls, on-prem and cloud-based servers, workstations, storage devices, and High Performance Computing clusters.
  • Monitor and maintain cybersecurity posture, ensuring that cybersecurity controls are implemented and maintained, and identifying risks and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for staff.
  • Provide support for all IT infrastructure to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Plan and implement IT projects.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiating hardware/software contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of IT services and solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Min 8 years in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, PMP, and MCSE will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing vendors and stakeholders, ensuring effective IT service delivery.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain technical solutions clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record to adapt and evolve with change.
