We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our operations team in delivering high-quality services to our customers. As an Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of running our generation assets, including monitoring maintenance and repairs, managing the weekly gas nominations for the gensets, and working with our Trading Manager to support the monitoring of wholesale electricity prices.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of our generation assets to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Manage the weekly gas nominations for the gensets and work with our Trading Manager to monitor wholesale electricity prices
  • Support the Generation Asset Manager in contract and asset management activities
  • Develop and implement initiatives to reduce waste and improve asset efficiency, performance, and utilization

What You'll Need:

  • Qualifications:
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification with knowledge of mechanical engineering
  • A registered Electrician with a current practicing certificate
  • Experience:
  • Experience working in the electricity industry and an understanding of the energy market
  • Strong commercial knowledge and proficiency with energy-related assets

About the Role:

This is a busy hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills. You will be working closely with our Generation Asset Manager to develop and implement initiatives to reduce waste and improve asset efficiency, performance, and utilization.
