Porirua City Council's vibrant local government museum and art gallery, Pataka Art + Museum, is dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of its community through the arts.

We strive to provide exceptional learning experiences for students visiting our museum. As a fixed term role ending in December 2025, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating education with school groups onsite at Pataka Art + Museum.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your education background and work in the engaging teaching environment at Pataka Art + Museum.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Plan and deliver educational programs for school groups onsite at Pataka Art + Museum
  • Provide access to the culture and heritage of the community
  • Bring a friendly and engaging approach to teaching

**Requirements**

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with a wide range of students (preschool to year 13)
  • Strong administrative skills and a creative streak
  • An engaging approach to teaching
  • A working knowledge of national curricula
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team
