About the Role

In this highly critical position, you will be responsible for providing expertise regarding the model building, integration, security and stability of Anaplan workspaces, components, apps and models across the business.

You will be expected to shape the long-term Anaplan roadmap and connected planning strategy to scale financial forecasting as Canva transitions towards becoming a public company by providing expertise regarding the model building, integration, security and stability of Anaplan workspaces, components, apps and models across the business.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Anaplan model building, including designing, implementing, and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Anaplan Certified Solution Architect (or at least Anaplan Level 3 Certified Model Builder with strong practical experience in architecture and best practices).
  • Proven experience in scaling Anaplan models to support a high-growth, fast-paced environment, ideally within a public company or pre-IPO setting.
  • Deep understanding of Anaplan architecture, including data hubs, connected planning, ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), and security best practices.
  • Strong experience integrating Anaplan with ERP, data warehouses, and BI tools via APIs, ETL, or middleware solutions.
  • Expertise in data modelling, multidimensional calculations, and model optimisation to ensure performance efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of FP&A processes, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus for automation and advanced data transformation.
  • Experience working with finance teams to translate business needs into scalable Anaplan solutions.
  • Exposure to public company reporting standards, SOX compliance, and audit requirements is a plus.
