About the Role
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Dalton, GA. The ideal candidate will have dental assisting experience, but recent graduates from a formal dental assisting program with their X-ray license for the state of GA will also be considered. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, welcoming patients, and assisting the dentist during procedures. You will also provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
  1. • Preparing treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols
    • Welcoming patients and making them feel comfortable
    • Assisting the dentist during procedures
    • Providing diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts
    • Maintaining patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), strong verbal and written communication skills, and completion of a Dental Assisting Program. X-ray certification for the state of GA is also required.
