About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologist with a special interest in Nuclear Medicine to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing reporting services for Nuclear Medicine, general CT, MRI, SPECT-CT, and other radionuclide imaging, as well as administrative duties to support the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the set-up of the Nuclear Medicine department in the new Dunedin hospital, as well as being at the forefront for the introduction of new procedures and Nuclear medicine imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality radiological reports for Nuclear Medicine, general CT, MRI, SPECT-CT, and other radionuclide imaging
  • Participating in quality initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Liaising with colleagues throughout NZ and Australia, and within the hospitals in the district

Requirements

  • FRANZCR qualification (or equivalent)
  • Vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
