Our team plays a vital role in fostering closer relationships with our customers and developing a more strategic approach to managing the Crown property across New Zealand.

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Crown Property team as a Principal Commercial Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing commercial advice on leases across 3 business units within Crown Property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage extensively with our legal team to develop and maintain model lease agreements that are fit for purpose.
  • Create the framework for property management, providing processes, tools and guidance.
  • Provide technical support to senior property managers (Senior Customer Regulatory Specialists).
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

  • At least 12-15 years relevant experience as a commercial manager, development manager or property consultant.
  • The ability to work across multiple teams and provide sound commercial advice on a large diverse portfolio.
  • In-depth knowledge of New Zealand property laws, lease agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and enhance value.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to relate cross-functionally across the business.
