Global Medical Staffing is seeking a talented Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in a picturesque coastal town on the North Island of New Zealand.

This is a unique opportunity for a specialist to provide high-quality mental health services, work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement programs.

About the Role

  • Provide infant, child, and adolescent mental health, and addiction services
  • Participate in after-hours general on-call roster (1:4)
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide supervision and education to medical students, registrars, and other clinical staff

Requirements

  • Broad generalist specialist experience in child and adolescent/youth psychiatry
  • Sound understanding of contemporary models of care and experience of working in a culturally diverse setting
  • Airship skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Interest in medical education and teaching
  • Commitment to addressing inequalities for Maori
