**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced technician to join our team as a Sport Programme Equipment Manager. The successful candidate will provide specialist technical support to staff and students in the School of Health Sciences, ensuring the smooth operation of academic courses and research projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and maintain equipment, including laboratory and sports science tools.
  • Offer IT and administrative support to ensure the delivery of academic courses.
  • Contribute to the overall learning experience by playing a key role in upholding health and safety standards.

**Requirements:**

  • Technical experience in maintaining and operating specialist equipment.
  • A valid New Zealand full drivers' licence, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
  • Research skills to access academic and professional literature and information.
  • Experience in equipment management, including procurement, maintenance, and stock control.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance within a teaching and research environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support and train staff and students.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
