The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Waikato Hospital. As a key member, you will perform and report on transthoracic cardiac ultrasound examinations, assist with transoesophageal and other echo-supported procedures, and participate in TTE and TOE lists within the department. You will also support more complex procedures in the operating theatre and cardiac catheter lab when required.
Your Responsibilities
- Undertake a full range of echocardiographic examinations and complete technical reports.
- Complete preliminary reports with Cardiology/Echo system.
- Identify, demonstrate, and report cardiac pathologies.
- Participate in TTE and TOE lists within the department as well as mobile and bedside examinations when required.
- Support other more complex procedures in the operating theatre and cardiac catheter lab when required.
- Participate in the on-call after-hours service.
