Culinary Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced cook to join our team at Epuni Care and Protection Residence. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals for young people in our care.

You will have the opportunity to work independently, developing menus and cooking meals on rostered days. You will also be part of a supportive team, working collaboratively with the Residence Chef to ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and preparing meals for the young people in our care
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the kitchen
  • Working collaboratively with the Residence Chef to develop menus
  • Cooking meals independently on rostered days
  • Sourcing ingredients and managing inventory
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a cook for large groups
  • Understanding of health and safety, including food hygiene
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
