The Role

This is an opportunity to apply financial knowledge in a values-led environment supporting economic growth and sustainability. Financial reporting – Helping prepare monthly reports, budgets, and forecasts ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Manage financial transactions – oversee accounts receivable, process invoices, and reconcile bank statements.Ensure compliance – Help manage GST, PAYE, and other tax obligations, keeping up to date with financial regulations.Support audits and risk management – Assist with internal and external audits, reconciliations, and financial controls.Provide financial insights – Analyse data and contribute to reporting supporting business decisions.Collaborate across teams – Work with stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support.Contribute to process improvements – Identify ways to enhance financial systems and reporting efficiencies.

About You

We look for someone with:A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.Progress toward Chartered Accountant status or an interest in attaining it.1-3 years of accounting experience ideally in financial reporting, compliance, and tax.Proficiency in accounting software e.g., Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Excel.Understanding of te ao Maori, tikanga, and Maori business structures or a willingness to learn.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Interest in digital system improvements and financial technology.
