Job Summary

This is a casual position at Christchurch Hospital where you will have the opportunity to refine your clinical skills and be part of a large, supportive team of healthcare professionals. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a key role in continuing our drive for constant improvement and delivering exceptional care and service.

About the Role
  • Planning, delivering, and recording radiation treatment accurately and efficiently
  • Providing information and education to patients and their family/whanau where appropriate
  • Assisting with the clinical training and ongoing clinical assessment of Radiation Therapy students
  • Identifying areas of improvement and participating in change initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Developed technical skills in radiation treatment planning and delivery, brachytherapy, and radiation oncology patient management systems
  • Eligibility for registration as a Radiation Therapist by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of New Zealand
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
  • A commitment to quality outcomes and patient-centred care
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
