Healthcare Support Workers

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at WOFO. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Key Duties:
- Providing patient handling assistance, including the correct use of lifting equipment and assistance with walking frames and other equipment
- Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and care, including assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing and bed making
- Completing delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision
- Ensuring Health and Safety compliance, including the use of equipment safely, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, and following required policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent)
- Exceptional people skills, with empathy and compassion for all patients
- A reasonable level of fitness, due to the nature of the role
- An excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy
- Reliability and honesty, with a positive attitude
In addition, you will have the opportunity to choose your own days to be on-call using our interactive booking app.
