Our company, Refocus, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of critical power and distribution projects.

  • Perform site visits and assessments to determine the best design solutions for substations, overhead lines, and underground electrical distribution systems.
  • Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for HV/MV substation projects, including transformer and cable sizing.
  • Design overhead and underground electrical distribution lines in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review external conceptual and detailed designs for substation projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage projects to ensure timely delivery of project documentation as per timelines and budgets.

Ideal candidate should have:

  • A consultancy background with 8-10 years of substation design experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong motivation to deliver high-quality engineering services to customers.
  • Proficiency in CATAN's COLDNet Pole and COLDNet profile software.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Primary and secondary detailed design experience.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand's electrical distribution standards and regulations.
