Fletcher Building Limited seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join Pacific Coilcoaters, a market-leading pre-painted steel and metal products company in New Zealand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling machine parts and installing, maintaining, and repairing plant and equipment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems with the ability to decipher technical diagrams.
  • At least 5 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance environments, preferably in production settings at a senior operational level, or related industries such as cement, steel, plastics, dairy, pulp, and paper.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage competing priorities and balance commercial and health & safety demands.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, including proper documentation.
  • Superb communication skills for effective collaboration with key plant stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to adhering to Health & Safety policies and guidelines.
  • Able to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
  • Limited electrical work may be beneficial.

You will need a recognized mechanical trade certificate, manufacturing plant experience, a valid driver's license, and the capacity to obtain or maintain a fork lift 'F' endorsement.
