About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Radiology IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Wellington. As a key member of the Radiology department, you will play a critical role in managing the Regional Radiology Information System (RRIS) and Picture Archive Communication System (PACS).

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support and training for staff using PACS and RRIS.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, processes, and system improvements to support the radiology department.
  • Serving as the on-call component, providing system administration after hours for acute imaging requirements and/or assisting with periods of system downtime.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in systems administration, particularly Imaging (PACS) and Radiology RIS systems.
  • Proven experience in ticket management.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Confidence to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proactivity and solution-focused approach.
