Community Library Program Manager

Auckland Council is seeking a Community Library Program Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for facilitating and growing community-led activity to deliver library services including programs and events across the Manurewa-Papakura local board.

This role will ensure the effective promotion and successful delivery of community-focused programs and events designed to engage the public. You will support an amazing team currently delivering programs as well as leading new and strategic initiatives to add value to our community.

This role will form part of the leadership team in the library's day-to-day operations and support for team members in our library site. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays and late nights.

About the Role

You are innovative, confident, and willing to learn and 'give it a go.' You are passionate about the role of the public library and have an interest in designing new programs to connect with our community. You demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles. Previous experience with council service enquiries would be highly desirable.

A collaborative team member, you're confident using social media platforms to engage with the community. Excellent digital skills and strong attention to detail, with proven customer service experience, are all key skills and attributes that will set you up for success.
