Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of non-social work components of young person's plans. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the team to implement the young person's plan, focusing on non-social work components.
  • Engaging with whānau and other professionals involved in the rangatahi's plan.
  • Spending time with the rangatahi and building positive relationships.
  • Working alongside Social Workers to support the mahi of bringing to life the Care Standards and positive outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi.

Requirements
  • Familiarity with Te Reo Māori and Tikanga.
  • Full and clean driver's licence.
  • Understanding of Oranga Tamariki as an organisation.
  • Experience working with traumatised rangatahi.
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, particularly knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture.
