As an Accountant with our organisation, you'll be responsible for:

  1. Helping prepare monthly reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  2. Oversight of financial transactions, managing accounts receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling bank statements.
  3. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, helping manage GST, PAYE, and other tax obligations.
  4. Providing financial guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  5. Contributing to business decisions through data analysis and reporting.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  1. A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Progress toward Chartered Accountant (CA) status or an interest in attaining it.
  3. 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally in financial reporting, compliance, and tax.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.
  5. An understanding of te ao Māori, tikanga, and Māori business structures, or a willingness to learn.
  6. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  7. An interest in digital system improvements and financial technology.
