This position exists to provide medical imaging services for Hauora Tairawhiti, supporting diagnosis and treatment. Our radiology team provides imaging in general X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammography, DEXA, and Interventional Radiology. We're a vibrant team dedicated to supporting our community and each other, working together to make a positive impact every day. We also provide an after-hours on-call service for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and General X-Ray.
As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality images that support accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. You'll work closely with our radiology team to ensure seamless service delivery. Your expertise in time management, personal work organization, and communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Your ability to communicate effectively in English and your commitment to learning Te Reo Maori will enhance our service delivery and contribute to a culturally safe environment. If you have experience working in projects or initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly in healthcare settings, we encourage you to apply and share your story with us in your cover letter.

Required Skills and Qualifications- Qualified Medical Radiation Technologist registered with NZMRTB
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Sound oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of cross-sectional imaging
- A high level of time management and personal work organisation skills
