Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our high-performing team at Hnry.

You will play a key role in leading and growing our engineering practice, owning people management and the continuous improvement of our technical expertise. You will collaborate with teams across Hnry, ensuring our team, product, platform, and ways of working continue to support our users and the wider Hnry team as we grow.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Lead a culture of accountability and responsibility around delivery, creating an environment where engineers can deliver consistent, high-quality products.
  • Team Growth: Grow the engineering team, recruiting new engineers to bring new skills and capabilities into the team, aligning with Hnry's strong culture and values.
  • Culture Building: Build strong relationships with all members of the business to actively identify problems and propose solutions based on customer insights and data.
  • Talent Development: Coach and mentor the team, creating personal and professional development plans to ensure we can attract and engage top talent.
About You:
  • Experience: Many years of people management experience, with a strong track record of technical delivery.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bring people on a journey and communicate clearly and with empathy.
  • Priorities: Flexible and open to change, with a strong desire to achieve the best within a constantly evolving environment.
