We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support our Engineering team in delivering technical excellence, continuous improvement, and satisfaction to our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing expert technical advice for traction and electrical maintenance and upgrades
  • Producing and peer reviewing design solutions for traction and electrical assets
  • Supporting the development of asset management strategies for traction and electrical assets
  • Delivering and supporting maintenance and renewal projects, managing contracts and liaising with third parties
  • Leading and supporting traction and electrical engineering inspections
  • Delivering training and supervision of junior engineers by providing technical guidance and mentoring
  • Producing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, standards and instructions
Requirements:
  • 8+ years' experience in a Rail Traction & Electrical Engineering environment
  • Experience with design and asset management
  • Experience with Traction & Electrical design software and systems
  • Ideally experience with Bentley MicroStation /Power modelling software
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is essential
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards this is desirable as well as post-grad qualifications
