We invite applications for a Radiation Oncologist position at Dunedin Hospital, as part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled medical professional to contribute to our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have experience caring for patients with head and neck cancers and gynaecological cancers, with a willingness to provide clinical care across other tumor streams. They will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and participate in research and education activities.

Key Features
  • Work in a state-of-the-art facility with three linear accelerators delivering over 1500 courses of radiation therapy per year.
  • Participate in research and education activities, including trials and studies related to radiation and systemic therapy.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for vocational or Locum Tenens registration in Radiation Oncology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
