Company Overview: Waikato Hospital, a major trauma centre, provides care to emergency and planned care patients. We are looking for skilled registered nurses to join our Theatre Nursing team in orthopaedic operating theatres.

About the Role: As a fixed-term opportunity to cover parental leave, you will work in a fast-paced environment with interesting and challenging orthopaedic cases. Our theatre and anaesthesia department has 22 operating theatres, a post-anaesthetic care unit, and a day of surgery admission unit, offering a wide range of surgical specialties.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you need 3-5 years' previous nursing experience in orthopaedic operating theatres in a large tertiary level hospital. You should have a sound understanding of orthopaedic instruments, equipment, and surgical protocols, as well as demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and sterile techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with surgeons, anaesthetists, patients, and theatre staff.
