The Nurse Practitioner Intern (NP Intern) role is designed to further enhance the quality of clinical services and care provided to patients and their families at Mercy Hospice.

The Role

This new position has been created to provide advanced-level nursing experience, allowing you to work across both the community team and the inpatient unit. Throughout the intern year, you will receive in-house education, leadership development, and clinical supervision from an experienced NP and a medical team member.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Gain advanced-level nursing experience in palliative care
  • Develop leadership skills through in-house education and clinical supervision
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a senior nurse in palliative care or similar
  • Completed core papers commensurate with NP curriculum
  • Academically prepared to move forward into your final practicum year
