The Canterbury District Health Board is seeking a skilled physiotherapist to fill a full-time position in our Pain Management Centre. As part of this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and treatments for patients with chronic pain. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop patient-centered treatment plans.
Job Description:
This role offers the opportunity to grow your skills in pain management and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. You will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the busy Orthopaedic Surgery program. Your expertise will be essential in addressing pain beliefs and fear avoidance, enabling patients to reengage in life and productive activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and treatments for patients with chronic pain
- Develop patient-centered treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
- Provide education and support to patients on evidence-based self-management strategies
- Work within a large interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
About You:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in pain management is beneficial, but not essential. If you are a registered physiotherapist with a strong commitment to patient-centered care, we encourage you to apply.
