Job Description
We are seeking a skilled midwife to join our team as a Rural Birthing Services Coordinator. In this role, you will provide postnatal care and assist whanau in navigating the pregnancy journey. With accommodation available, you will have a unique chance to gain rural midwifery experience in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of inpatients and develop care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with LMC midwives to provide high-quality midwifery care.
- Manage referrals to Waikato Hospital and ensure the unit is well stocked and running smoothly.
- Participate in ongoing education and development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.

Your Skills and Qualifications
- Registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand and a current annual practising certificate.
- Competency in te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your learning journey.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a clean full New Zealand driver licence.
