We are excited to offer a Career Transition Expert role within our workforce development unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the career transition process, developing relationships with employers, and providing support to ensure successful job placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through the career transition process, providing coaching and support to achieve employment goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to create job opportunities and support employment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with businesses to establish and manage recruitment processes, ensuring seamless onboarding and induction for new employees.
  • Educate employers on our products and services, highlighting available support and incentives to drive employment growth.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the region to connect clients with seasonal and permanent work opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients by matching them to suitable roles and promoting their skills to potential employers.
  • Ensure accurate recording of interactions with employers and clients in internal systems.
  • Contribute to Labour Market Team initiatives, complementing Immigration, Skills for Industry, and Cadetship work programs.
  • Support Connected and Service Centre activities, including reporting, analysis, and outreach efforts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in career guidance, recruitment, or business development, with a focus on relationship-building with employers.
  • A results-driven approach, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and job placement targets.
  • Confidence in cold calling, networking, and using technology to source employment opportunities.
  • Ability to identify job opportunities and implement effective strategies to engage employers, considering local labour market conditions.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region to meet employers as required.
