We are a well-resourced centre dedicated to supporting our tamariki, parents and whānau in facilitating child led play.
Job DescriptionThis is a permanent position during term time only. The successful applicant will work alongside our Centre whānau to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki while role modelling child led play and positive guidance.
Key Responsibilities- To support whānau in the use of Te Reo Māori and encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre.
- To demonstrate the benefits of participating to whānau and support them with exploring their light bulb moments.
- To mentor and support parents/whānau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.
- Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults, as well as a passion for empowering and engaging with all whānau to feel a sense of belonging in our sessions.
