The High and Complex Needs Service for Mental Health at Auckland District Health Board comprises the Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre and the Assertive Community Outreach Service. The Assertive Community Outreach Service is an intensive community mental health team that works with people who have a history of poor engagement with mental health services and who present with high risk associated with their condition.
The aim of the service is to provide responsive treatment to service users/tangata whai i te ora who require more flexibility and intensity of support. The service covers all of the Auckland District Health Board area and is located in Point Chevalier, next door to each other.
About the JobWe are looking for a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist for ACOS; however, there may be some potential for flexibility. The ideal candidate will be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for the same.
