About the Role
In this position, you will be working closely with Hudson, a young man who resides independently at Kereru Service. Located in Hoon Hay, Kereru Service is a short drive from the main Hohepa Campus. Hudson requires an experienced Support Worker who can utilize their skills and passion for working with youth or young adults who exhibit challenging behaviors.
Hudson attends school and enjoys various activities, including swimming at local pools and going on bike rides. One of his biggest passions is attending car shows, which he finds incredibly exciting. In this role, you will join Hudson on these activities, encouraging him to develop independence and connect further within the community.
Your responsibilities will include daily routines, promoting independence, and developing skills and personal growth. You will also be responsible for supporting personal care, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. A key aspect of this role is being passionate about supporting and extending people's ability to access and participate in their wider community.

Rostered Hours
The rostered hours for this position are as follows:
- Week One: Tuesday (3pm-10:30pm, 10:30pm-6:30am), Wednesday (6:30am-9am), Saturday (7:30am-4pm).
- Week Two: Sunday (4pm-10:30pm, 10:30pm-6:30am), Monday (6:30am-9am, 3pm-10:30pm, 10:30pm-6:30am), Friday (3pm-10:30pm, 10:30pm-7:30am), Saturday (7:30am-4pm).
Total Hours per Fortnight
The total hours per fortnight for this position are 86.5 hours, with 53.5 hours classified as hands-on time and 33 hours as sleepover time.
