Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Perioperative Specialist to join our team at Auckland City Hospital. As an Anaesthesia Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Level 8 theatres.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide professional assistance to anaesthetists, manage resources and equipment, and ensure timely Trakcare documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional assistance to anaesthetists and contribute to positive patient outcomes
  • Manage resources and equipment for delivering 24/7 patient-centred care
  • Share knowledge and experience within the team
  • Work on a 24/7 rostering and on-call duties
  • Ensure timely Trakcare documentation for efficient patient flow and discharge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant qualification (e.g., Anaesthetic Technician, ODP, or RNAA) and minimum two years of post-qualification experience. You must also be registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand or hold current APC with Nursing Council of NZ.
