**About the Role**
Gisborne Hospital is a 100-bed facility offering a full spectrum of specialities. We are seeking an experienced Head and Neck Surgeon to join our team in a Permanent Full-time position. As an Otolaryngologist in Gisborne, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference with both patients and colleagues alike.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of three Otolaryngologists who are working collaboratively to provide high-quality care and to improve equity and health outcomes for the Maori and Pasifika populations. The team is supported by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Audiologist.
You will see the full range of patients in this role and perform a variety of procedures such as endoscopic sinus surgery, middle ear surgery, facial skin cancer surgery, and paediatric ENT procedures; all major head & neck surgery is currently carried out at Waikato Hospital.
In this role, you will assist with the education and supervision of surgical staff and medical students. There are ample opportunities to develop subspecialist interests that will complement the department's current service, with high levels of community unmet need.
