Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Session Facilitator to join our vibrant Playcentre community at Birkenhead. The successful candidate will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning, and positively support the Playcentre education programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide session activities and facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance
  • Support planning and assessment for learning
  • Positively support the Playcentre education programme
  • Work alongside our members and tamariki to create a welcoming and inclusive environment

Requirements

  • Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults
