Auckland Council's Treasury department is seeking a skilled professional to join the Billing team as a full-time fixed-term employee. The team provides shared services for Council and selected Council Controlled Organisations, offering exposure across various organisations. As a Billing team member, you will be responsible for processing high volumes of accounts receivable transactions.

Your primary focus will be on resolving customer queries in an efficient manner. You will undertake tasks such as:

  • Billing and invoicing
  • Credit notes and journals
  • Debtor statements and refunds queries
  • Reporting as required

We are looking for an individual with experience working in accounts receivable positions or accounting environments. Familiarity with large and complex organisational structures, particularly in government sectors, would be beneficial but not essential.

The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, able to work through large numbers of transactions easily and efficiently. Additionally, they must be proficient in using multiple systems, including ERP systems.

A great team player with a willingness to assist colleagues when needed, you will possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude. Your excellent customer service skills and desire to help people will be highly valued.
