Child Led Play Specialist

About the Job

This is a permanent position during term time only, and the successful applicant will work alongside our Centre whānau to open the sessions and guide activities.

Key Activities
  • Facilitate learning for our members and tamariki while role modelling child led play and positive guidance.
  • Support whānau in the use of Te Reo Māori and encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme.
  • Mentor and support parents/whānau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children.
Requirements
  • Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults, as well as a passion for empowering and engaging with all whānau to feel a sense of belonging in our sessions.
