Hato Hone St John is a leading provider of youth development programs in Aotearoa, empowering young people to gain confidence, empathy, life, health and leadership skills.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Volunteer Assistant Divisional Manager in Wanaka. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide leadership, direction and support to Youth Leaders and members in our division.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Divisional Youth Manager in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality program that enhances the personal development of its members
  • Helping to identify potential in individuals and developing strategies to support their growth and development
  • Supporting the division in actively working towards the goals set out in the Regional Business Plan

You will also be responsible for promoting attendance at required courses, meetings and training workshops, and contributing towards ensuring information and training is shared within the division.

In addition, you will encourage involvement in competitions, events, community services, recreation activities and involvement with other divisions at district and regional level.

As a Volunteer Assistant Divisional Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and contribute to the success of our organization.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • An aptitude for working with diverse demographic groups
  • An active team player with a keen interest in working with young people
  • A natural talent for thinking and working outside the square
