Animal Welfare Retail Coordinator

Company Overview: At Spca Auckland, we are a non-profit organisation dedicated to animal welfare in New Zealand. Our mission is to protect and enhance the welfare of all animals.
This Casual role involves assisting our team with covering staff leave and increased activity at our op shop. As an Op Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for training and guiding volunteers on your shifts, achieving sales targets, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also be involved in processing incoming donated goods, visual merchandising, and maintaining the Health and Safety of the shop.
Key Responsibilities:- Train and guide volunteers on their shifts
- Achieve sales targets by maximising revenue through effective merchandising and customer engagement
- Process incoming donated goods, including sorting and pricing
- Maintain the Health and Safety of the shop
We are seeking an individual with retail experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. People leadership experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sector with volunteers, would be an advantage. Self-motivation, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work hard are essential.
