Key Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Counsellor to join our dedicated team. As a Counsellor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving referrals and assessing the psychosocial needs of patients and their whānau
  • Providing individual, family, or group counselling sessions using narrative therapy and other evidence-based approaches
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans

You will be required to work autonomously, making decisions about the best course of action for each patient, while also being part of a supportive team environment.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has excellent communication skills, and can work effectively with diverse populations, including Māori communities.
