The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst role will contribute to identifying, analysing, and reporting emerging cyber threats, thereby assisting in the protection of our customers from potential attacks. To achieve this goal, the successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills, enabling them to detect patterns, trends, and anomalies in large datasets related to cybersecurity threats. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages, preferably Python, would be beneficial in maintaining and developing platform connectors for threat intelligence ingestion. The selected individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to create clear, concise threat reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently while adapting to changing circumstances. In addition, experience in working with various cybersecurity tools and technologies is essential, such as firewalls, EDR, SIEMs, and threat intelligence platforms. Knowledge of security tools, threat intelligence platforms, OSINT techniques, and structured analytic techniques is required. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, threat intelligence processes, and incident response practices is also desired.
The ideal candidate should have a qualification in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, with equivalent professional experience considered. Vendor-neutral certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Analyst+, are highly valued. Possessing industry-recognised certifications like EC-Council Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA), GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), or MAD20 ATT&CK Cyber Threat Intelligence demonstrates a commitment to staying current with the latest developments in cybersecurity.
For success in this role, the chosen candidate will need to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cybersecurity, including new tools, techniques, and regulations affecting our customers. By doing so, they can ensure our company remains a leader in providing innovative and secure solutions for our clients.
