**Job Description:**

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our Central regional team. This role involves delivering public health nursing services across schools and the community, focusing on assessment of personal and population health, attention to multiple determinants of health, primary prevention, immunisation, and best evidence-based public health nursing practice.

The successful candidate will be part of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, working towards Pae Ora (healthy futures for all) by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.

**Requirements:**
  • Current registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as Registered Nurse and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • 3+ years clinical experience, Authorised Vaccinator or interest in completing training, demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise and clinical judgement, particularly when working with children and adolescents.
  • Hold a minimum of a competent portfolio in an approved PDRP or equivalent with a commitment to continue through the programme.
