Role Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Guidance Counsellor to join our dedicated team at Rotorua Boys' High School. The successful candidate will work in a well-resourced Wellness Centre, providing support and guidance to students.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, fixed-term position, commencing as soon as possible. As a Guidance Counsellor, you will be responsible for promoting student wellbeing and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement guidance programs to support student learning and development
  2. Provide individual and group counselling services to students
  3. Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate guidance into the curriculum
  4. Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to student wellbeing

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in teaching and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
